Thinking of calling this latest pastel sketch “Waiting” because I seem to be doing a lot of that lately. Waiting for people. Waiting for the phone to ring, waiting for my new carpet to be installed, waiting for instant success :0)
But hey, I guess my patience could do with some steroidal growth so in the meantime will try to use my ‘waiting’ time productively. Hence this.
Send me some ideas for a title. (Don’t make me wait now..)

Hi Laura
Love this one, great colours! Lucky you that you spend your time waiting so effectively.
I suggest “redreat” instead of retreat but hey a German speaking girl is probably not the right one to ask for English words.
Good look with finding a matching title.

Thank you my love. Why not “Redreat”? That would keep ’em guessing. Or maybe you could suggest something great in German… could be a really good angle 😉

Ok, how about, ‘The Red Diary’
or ‘Call Me’ or ‘Anybody Out There?’

‘The Red Diary’… I like it! Realised once I had added the red square that it was a little too front and central to make the pic interesting. Oh well.
Send me an e-mail with your latest on it..

It’s the Rupert Street Inukshuk…it’s obvious…
“The Inukshuk (IN-OOK-SHOOK) meaning “in the image of man were erected by the Inuit people and are unique to the Canadian Arctic…(and Rupert Street Western Australia…)
They endure as eternal symbols of leadership, the importance of friendship and reminding us of our dependence upon one another.
These were built to point the safer way for those who followed. The Inukshuk guided people across the frozen land and gave them the strength to handle hardships they encountered.”

Wow. Who’d have thought? I like the sound of that and the symbolism, very grounding. I will make sure I ask for more title suggestions in future, you guys are great. Did you see Jules’ comment re you being an enabler on the “For the love..” post? She’s funny :o)

oh i love that red tile, i thought it was perfect. it takes a second or two before you focus on it and then you see a whole other side of it. loving these pastels darl.
not overly original, but i’d go with ”pixelled”. jxxx

Thanks honey, you’re very kind. It only took about 20mins so can’t expect too much, was trying to use my intuition and not think too much as instructed by my lovely teacher Brian. BTW, did you see C read my blog AND commented?
