Lemon-y goodness

I’m not sure what has come over me lately but I seem to be cooking more than usual… baking even.
The latest bout was sparked by the desire to use up as many lemons and limes from my two tiny trees before they fell to the ground and were wasted. With the help of my cooking guru friend J, I decided on Luscious Lemon Cake (the recipe using the most of the suckers).

I also juiced my limes to freeze so that any time I feel like a Frangelico on lime-y rocks I am good to go.

It was so tempting I had one with fresh lime juice whilst I slaved in the kitchen for hours…

Lemon and lime…in equal measure.

And, the final result with a dying rose (thanks P).

Forgive me for the food blogging but there was something about the intense citrus colours with the turquoise glass and retro pink kitchen splashback that inspired me. Until next year’s harvest…
