Do you ever wish you could click your fingers (or the heels of your red shoes) and escape to the south of France? Good, so I’m not alone there.
Here are two versions of the same pastel but one with the saturation and contrast cranked way up. The first more accurately reflects the overcast day but the latter is how I imagine it would look when the southern sun was shining. Which do you prefer?

Hmmm, tricky question, the top one is more like the light levels and contrast of your photo, but the second is more like the vibrant brightness more reminscent of parts of France in summer. Plus it has real depth of colour. Second one for me, but only just, both are lovely!

Hey L.:) Both have a nice feel to them. I also like to ramp the saturation up. I know what Anni and Deb mean and the second one is more punchy. Today, I prefer the mellow one, but tomorrow….
